COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: CAMERON DOLLIMORE

How Cameron’s padel journey started

Cameron’s padel journey started early — first picking up a racket in Spain at just 11 or 12 years old. A natural competitor, he quickly progressed from local tournaments to the British padel tour and went on to represent Great Britain at the Junior World Championships three times. That foundation has shaped both his mindset and his ambition today and going into 2026.

What stands out most in Cameron’s story is his commitment to long-term progress. He’s open about the ups and downs of competing and sees padel as a constant learning process, mentally as much as physically. As he puts it, “Padel pushes me both physically and mentally and I strive to learn from my losses alongside enjoying the wins — big or small.” His aim is to show that trusting the process, even through difficult periods, always pays off.

Importance of community

Community has played a huge role in Cameron’s journey so far. From the people he’s met to the connections he’s built, padel has opened doors well beyond the court. One standout memory for him was competing in the Anglo American Cup — an experience that combined high-level competition with everything that makes padel special. The biggest ongoing challenge is finding the right balance between training hard and competing regularly.

Advice for those new to padel competitions

For players just starting out in competition, Cameron’s advice is refreshingly honest: go into every match believing you can win, but never write off a loss as “just a bad day.” If possible, film matches, analyse them, and take clear learnings back into training. That mindset, he believes, is where real improvement happens.

2026 plans

Looking ahead, 2026 is set to be a huge year. Cameron is planning a packed schedule of tournaments across the UK and internationally, alongside exhibitions, Pro-Ams, and events wherever his body allows. “It will be a challenge for sure,” he says, “but that’s what excites me and keeps me going.”

Cameron added “I’m an ambassador for ATHLFT so if you want to see how I prepare physically I would highly recommend downloading the app. All the drills I train padel wise you can find on the prodigypadel app which is linked in my bio, curated by Santi moreno who is one of the best coaches I’ve worked with on and off the court.

If you want to follow Cameron’s journey, he’s sharing where he’s competing throughout the year, how he prepares physically, and how he trains on court — offering an honest, behind-the-scenes look at life as a driven padel competitor on the rise. Check him out on Instagram at @CameronDollimore.
