How Luca’s padel journey started
Unlike many coaches, Luca didn’t come from tennis. As a child, he often played alone against the wall, using any racket he could find around the house.
When Luca first tried padel in 2020, he immediately fell in love with the sport. It reminded him of those childhood hours spent playing against walls and doors at home – sometimes with unintended consequences, including broken picture frames, TVs, and plenty of other items along the way!
From that moment on, his passion continued to grow. Recognising that padel was about to explode in Italy, Luca decided to follow several training and education pathways, both in Italy and in Spain, to specialise in the sport. His goal has always been to learn how to teach padel professionally and share it with everyone, always with a smile.
Coach Luca’s insights
Luca believes that timing is everything in padel. He encourages beginners to learn how to prepare both their body and racket early, as this gives them valuable extra time on every shot.
From the very beginning, he advises practising body and racket preparation together and as early as possible – even on slow balls – so that when faster balls arrive, players are already ready to handle them.
Tips for producing coaching content
To increase online visibility, Luca believes coaches should focus on presenting their work in the most professional way possible. Where possible, investing in high-quality content allows coaches to showcase their value clearly and position themselves professionally online.
Building a strong padel community
For Luca, building a strong padel community goes beyond what happens on the padel court. While inclusive padel events are essential, he also believes in creating shared experiences away from the court.
At many of the events he organises, players might jump into the pool together during the summer, share meals, or take part in other social activities. These moments help people connect on a deeper level. By creating these kinds of experiences, Luca believes players remember the feeling of belonging – and over time, the community continues to grow with genuinely connected individuals.
Looking ahead
Looking ahead, Luca’s main priority is to improve day by day what he can offer to his clients and the wider community. He is passionate about giving everyone the opportunity not only to play padel, but also to learn it – regardless of age, skill level, physical limitations, or any other factor.
He is particularly excited about creating events that bring together people from different nationalities. Luca believes that the more diverse a group is, the more connected it becomes. His long-term vision is to involve different cultures, ages, and abilities, creating inclusive environments where padel becomes a shared language for everyone.
