About Liam

Liam is an LTA Level 2 Padel Coach with a twist. His journey into padel didn’t begin with racket sports at all – he spent most of his life racing Motocross. When he eventually picked up a padel racket for the first time, he fell in love with padel straight away.

That unconventional background is what makes Liam relatable to players who also come into padel without prior tennis or squash experience, no bad habits, no assumptions — just a down-to-earth approach that helps players feel comfortable.

Today, Liam delivers 1-to-1 and group coaching sessions tailored for all levels, alongside remote match analysis for players looking to take the next step.

Coach Insights

“Don’t try to hit a winner with every shot. Just keep the ball in play — and if you’re in trouble, do a lob to give yourself more time.”

Building Community

For Liam, community begins with genuine interest in people and figuring out their why. From his very first day working at his local padel club, he focused on personal interaction — asking players about their stories, why they started playing, and what their journey has been so far. Over time, that simple habit has created an authentic and engaged community around him.

Looking Ahead

Liam’s priority is clear: grow the sport in the UK. With so many players trying padel for the first time, he loves seeing newcomers return the following week with a freshly purchased racket and even more excitement.

Looking to the future, he’s eager to see where UK padel will be in two years. As more clubs open – perhaps one within a 15-minute drive for everyone (wouldn’t that be nice?) – he believes the busiest and most successful will be those built on real community and genuine connection.
