Why PadelEdge Was Founded

PadelEdge was started in Miami after the founders – Guillermo Cagigas and Ernesto Rocabert – identifed a gap in the U.S. padel landscape. While the sport has grown quickly, they believed much of the training environment revolved around isolated lessons and one-off clinics, often lacking structure, continuity, and a clear long-term development path.

PadelEdge, they explained, was created as a padel operating system – a framework designed to bring structure, methodology, and shared standards to how padel is taught and trained. Rather than being tied to a single club or location, the system is built to live across environments: inside clubs, through online training, and within private or at-home sessions. The aim is to help players move from just playing matches to training with purpose, consistency, and intent over time.

Meet The Founders

Guillermo Cagigas and Ernesto Rocabert are both competitive players on the USPA circuit and experienced coaches deeply embedded in the U.S. padel scene.

Guille has spent several years competing at the highest level in the U.S. and coaching players across a wide range of abilities. His experience on tour has shaped his understanding of what players need to improve beyond simply playing matches. Some of his most rewarding moments have come from working with athletes over time – seeing confidence grow, decision-making sharpen, and results improve as a direct outcome of structured, intentional training.

Ernesto plays a central role in shaping the structure behind PadelEdge. He leads the systemisation of training, including the development of the online platform and the frameworks that support it. His focus is on how methodology extends beyond the court – how progression is tracked, how concepts are organised, and how players remain connected to the system through digital tools and structured guidance.

Together, they combine high-level on-court experience with a shared commitment to clarity, consistency, and long-term player development.

PadelEdge was co-founded by Guillermo Cagigas and Ernesto Rocabert, both competitive players on the USPA circuit and coaches with deep expertise within the U.S. padel scene.

PadelEdge’s Edge

The mission of PadelEdge is to raise the level of padel training by giving players and coaches a clear framework for improvement. A core part of that mission is building a network of coaches who apply the “PadelEdge methodology” with consistency and intention, creating alignment across clubs and training environments.

PadelEdge is guided by four core values: clarity, consistency, accountability, and long-term development. Training is designed to be intentional, repeatable, and measurable, with a strong emphasis on building better decision-makers on court rather than simply increasing activity.

Instead of relying on individual coaching styles or disconnected sessions, they aim to create a shared language and a clear development path that supports players over time.

Getting Involved

The best way to learn more about PadelEdge is by following their digital channels and connecting directly to see how the system is applied in real training environments.

Here’s how PadelEdge benefits clubs, coaches, and players, according to the founders:

  • For clubs, PadelEdge works as a partner to help structure and elevate padel programming through professional methodology, clear standards, and development-driven frameworks.
  • For coaches, it offers a consistent system to work within, supporting long-term progression across group, private, and performance-based environments.
  • For players, involvement begins with a commitment to training with intention, whether through club-based programmes, guided training formats, or personalised development plans.

Looking Ahead

In the short term, the focus is on refining the PadelEdge system and applying it more consistently across training environments. This includes strengthening club-level implementation, supporting coaches within the system, and ensuring players experience clear progression wherever they train.

What excites the team most is the broader impact this structure can have on padel in the U.S. As clubs, coaches, and players increasingly look for clarity and professionalism in training, PadelEdge aims to contribute to a more development-driven culture – one where progress is intentional, sustainable, and measurable over time.

Wishing Guillermo and Ernesto all the best!
