About Christian Murphy’s Journey (GB #1)

Christian was born in Kingston, London, and most of his family are from Manchester, England. He started playing padel at the age of 14 after discovering the courts in his residential community. But it was in Spain, where padel is deeply embedded in the culture, where the game quickly became a central part of his life.

He shares his day-to-day life, training, and results on social media so those who support him can follow the journey. His mission is to show that with effort, consistency, and discipline, it’s possible to become the best version of yourself. His journey is certainly testament to this – he currently holds the #1 GB Ranking spot and recently won the LTA Padel British Tour Grade 1 in Stratford.

"I started playing padel at 14 after discovering the courts in my residential community. In Spain, padel is very popular, and that’s where my journey began."

Looking Ahead

One of the most rewarding parts of Christian’s journey has been seeing his progression both as a player and as a person. A defining moment came when he won bronze at the U18 World Championships in Mexico with the Great Britain team, reinforcing his ambition to pursue padel at a professional level.

His current focus is on building a strong pre-season to be ready for 2026. Christian is motivated to keep improving, achieve stronger results, and continue representing British padel on the world stage.

"My favourite part has been seeing my progress and growing both as a player and as a person. A decisive moment for me was winning bronze at the U18 World Championships in Mexico with the Great Britain team, which confirmed my goal of becoming a professional padel player."
