Meet Harry Jiggins
Harry was introduced to padel in late 2019 after friends encouraged him to give it a try. He played his first match alongside his dad at Padel United Maldon and was hooked immediately. Despite padel being his first racket sport, Harry committed early – taking lessons straight away and immersing himself in the game.
As his involvement at the club grew, Harry began helping out and later working there, giving him the opportunity to play regularly and accelerate his development. In 2021, he completed his first coaching qualification, followed by an apprenticeship after finishing college. During this period, he was coached by Dan Troy, who played a pivotal role in shaping his journey.
In September 2024, Harry joined the British Padel Academy as both a coach and a player. Just a year later, in 2025, he stepped into the role of Head Coach.
Looking ahead
Harry is focused on continuing to grow with the British Padel Academy, developing further as both a coach and a player. He’s especially excited about working with players across all levels – from beginners through to performance – and helping them progress on their padel journey.
"Don't always go for the winning shot on every ball; be patient and build the point."
