CLUB SPOTLIGHT:
STRIKE PADEL

Bringing Health, Community, and Padel Together in the Heart of Bradford

Strike Padel isn’t just another club – it’s the vision of two pharmacists and a dentist who saw an opportunity to make a real difference in their community, where they each grew up. They saw first-hand how the high rates of cardiovascular disease and diabetes negatively affected their community. Co-Founders Fahad Quereshi, Mohammed Rashad, and Dr Mohammed Usman wanted to create something that not only encouraged physical activity but also fostered social connection.

Padel, with its simple rules, quick learning curve, and addictive style of play, was the perfect fit. “Bradford was the natural choice for us,” says co-founder Fahad. “It’s our home, and we want to see our community thrive both on and off the court.”

What Makes Strike Padel Unique

From day one, Strike Padel has been about more than just running a padel club. The team works closely with local schools, charities, and community groups to introduce as many people as possible to the sport.

A personal touch is at the heart of everything they do. One of the founders is always on-site, ensuring “the highest standard of service.” It’s a hands-on approach designed to create a warm, inclusive environment where every player feels valued and part of something bigger.

Facilities & Experience

When visitors step onto the panoramic courts at Strike Padel, they know they’re in for a quality experience. The facilities include:

  • Panoramic courts for an “unbeatable playing experience.”

  • Free on-site parking for convenience.

  • Professional coaching for all skill levels.

  • A cosy café to relax after matches.

  • A well-stocked pro shop for gear and accessories.

  • Modern changing rooms to refresh post-game.

Set on a lively industrial estate that’s become a leisure hub, Strike Padel is surrounded by other activities including a gym, go-karting, trampoline park, and climbing wall, making it an ideal destination for an active day out. Amazing what an industrial estate can be transformed into, and hopefully we can see more of this throughout the UK.

Looking Ahead

The future at Strike Padel is all about accessibility and growth. Plans include regular “Intro to Padel” sessions, women-only groups, junior clubs, and a calendar of inclusive events to help everyone get involved.

For Fahad and the team, it’s about more than just numbers. It’s about building a strong community. “We can’t wait to see friendships, healthy habits, and a genuine love for the game develop right here,” he says.

Strike Padel is proving that sport can be a powerful tool for both health and happiness – and in Bradford, the movement has only just begun. We wish Fahad and team all the best, and can’t wait to play there soon.
