CLUB SPOTLIGHT:
SEVENOAKS PADEL

About the Club

Padel Friday started it all – a group of squash players began meeting up at a local padel club, and before long, a new sport had them hooked: padel. That passion quickly evolved into a plan to bring padel to Sevenoaks!

Through pure community building, the idea gained momentum. “We grew a WhatsApp group of over 300 people before we had even started plans for courts,” the team shares. “It all started from our shared love of the game.”

What Makes Sevenoaks Padel Unique

For Sevenoaks Padel, it’s all about the atmosphere. “We’re a club, not a facility,” they explain. “First and foremost, we foster a friendly and welcoming environment.”

Despite being a small team, their can-do attitude shines through: “We pride ourselves on great customer service and patience – even with over 6,000 registered players!”

The club is also at the forefront of padel innovation. Sevenoaks Padel is one of the first in the UK to introduce Playsight’s “TagMe” feature, complete with an AI SmartCourt system that analyses your game and provides insights to help you improve.

Facilities & Experience

Set outdoors in the lovely Kent countryside at Polhill Garden Centre, Sevenoaks Padel offers:

  • 3 carbon panoramic courts

  • LED lighting designed specifically for padel

  • His & Hers ablutions, vending machines for rackets and balls, and on-site refreshments

Players can join box leagues, take part in inter-club matches, or connect via vibrant WhatsApp groups that keep the community active and engaged.

Coaching is offered at all levels – from one-to-one sessions and group training to tactical, men’s, ladies’, and mixed sessions – all through the Sevenoaks Padel App.

You can even download the Sevenoaks Padel app to book sessions, manage matches, and stay connected with the community.

The Sevenoaks Padel Community

Community is at the heart of everything the club does.
“We run socials for different experience levels across three days each week – it’s a great way for new members to meet and get involved,” they say.

The team’s hands-on approach is part of what makes the atmosphere so welcoming: “We’re always around on site, talking with members, sharing our journey, and listening to feedback. We care deeply about what we do – even if that means plenty of late nights!”

Club Innovation

Sevenoaks Padel aims to lead the way in data-driven player development.

“We’ve ditched the flawed coach assessment model and moved to a data-driven approach,” they explain. Partnering with PadelLevels.io, the club now uses match results and algorithmic analysis to determine player levels – removing subjectivity and making the system more accurate and transparent.

“No more ‘I beat X, I should be rated higher than them,’” they add. “It’s all based on real game data.”

Early results already show the benefits, fairer matchups, improved competition, and clearer progression for players.

Looking Ahead

After two years of planning, the team has secured planning permission for a brand-new Kent Centre of Excellence for Padel — a purpose-built, state-of-the-art venue featuring:

  • 6 indoor courts under an 11m bespoke roof

  • Tournament-level lighting

  • A clubhouse with reception, pro shop, restaurant, and bar

  • Kids’ soft play area, community rooms, and a therapy suite

  • Showers, changing rooms, and a warm-up gym

  • And of course, a sun-facing patio to enjoy post-match moments (and selfies!)

It’s an exciting new chapter for a club that’s already redefining what it means to build a padel community. We at World Padel Network wish them all the best, and hope to get a game in there before too long!
