PATL padel club tournament

CLUB SPOTLIGHT:
PATL

About the Club

PATL began, like many good ideas do, in the early hours of the morning. Founders Kevin and Andrew first met playing tennis together at Kenyon College in Ohio, where a shared love of sport laid the foundation for a long-standing friendship. Years later, at Andrew’s 30th birthday celebration in Montana, a late-night conversation at 3am sparked something bigger – the idea to build a padel club together. What started as a spontaneous moment quickly turned into a serious commitment to growing the sport in the U.S.

What Makes PATL Unique

At its core, PATL is about people. Kevin and Andrew take a hands-on approach to running the club, remaining deeply involved in every aspect of the operation. From travelling across the country to represent PATL, to coaching sessions, court maintenance, and directing tournaments, the founders are visible, accessible, and invested. That direct connection to ownership has helped foster a strong sense of trust and belonging, creating a community where members feel connected to the club and its mission.

Facilities & Experience

Players visiting PATL can expect high-quality courts and thoughtfully designed facilities. In Atlanta, the club features a large courtside deck paired with a full-service bar, creating a social, energetic atmosphere. In Kentucky, the experience shifts to something more scenic, with riverside views stretching out behind the courts. Each location offers a distinct setting, but the same focus on quality, comfort, and experience both on and off the court.

Community

One of the club’s most successful formats has been its Americanos – level-based, mix-and-match sessions running three days a week, designed to help players meet, compete, and integrate into the community. Looking ahead, PATL plans to introduce league play, while also hosting three major tournaments already confirmed on the calendar. Expansion is also part of the journey, with a new location planned in Charleston, bringing the PATL community into a new state.

Looking Ahead

PATL is preparing for the opening of its Charleston club in summer 2026 and is proud to be part of the World Padel Rating circuit this year. The club will once again host the Atlanta Padel Open, as well as the year-end finals. With several additional events currently in the works, PATL’s focus remains on delivering high-quality padel experiences while continuing to strengthen and expand its growing community.
