LA CASA DEL PADEL

About La Casa Del Padel

La Casa del Padel was born from a shared desire to bring padel – and its culture – to Kansas City, and its story begins in the changing rooms (or is it “locker room” in the US?). Six professional footballers formed a close bond while playing for Sporting Kansas City, discovering padel together as a new way to compete, connect, and unwind off the field.

That shared passion turned into a business partnership. Former teammates Roger Espinoza, Andreu Fontàs, Uri Rosell, Johnny Russell, Daniel Sallói, and Graham Zusi joined forces with engineer Jamie Mahoney to launch La Casa del Padel – bringing the sport they love to a city ready for something new.

What Makes La Casa del Padel Unique

As the first padel club in Kansas City, La Casa occupies a special place in the region’s sporting landscape. Its partnership with Overland Park Racquet Club has allowed padel to be introduced within an established racquet-sport community, while also extending far beyond traditional tennis audiences.

This approach has created an inclusive environment where experienced racquet-sport players and complete newcomers alike can discover padel, laying the foundations for long-term growth and excitement around the game.

Facilities & Experience

Players can expect a friendly, welcoming atmosphere both on and off the court. Accessibility is at the heart of the La Casa experience – whether you’re a regular or trying padel for the first time. The Club Manager is always happy to step in with a lesson or jump on court when an extra player is needed.

Off court, courtside seating encourages spectators to relax, connect, and enjoy the social side of padel with a cold drink in hand. The pro shop adds to the experience, offering everything from rackets to lifestyle apparel, making La Casa as much a social hub as a sporting venue.

Community

Community sits at the centre of everything La Casa does. The club makes it easy for players to connect organically, both on and off the court, through shared experiences and simple touchpoints. One of the most effective tools has been the club’s WhatsApp padel group, which helps players organise games, meet new partners, and even welcome visiting players passing through Kansas City.

La Casa also places strong emphasis on padel as a spectator sport. Hosting professional exhibitions has proven to be a powerful way to showcase the speed, skill, and excitement of the game to the wider community.

“This year, we plan to continue that growth through fitness pop-ups and special events in collaboration with local businesses, which have proven successful this past year,” Chloe Lane (Social Media & Marketing Manager) told us. “These partnerships allow us to introduce padel to new audiences and grow the sport in a way that feels social, inclusive, and fun.”

Looking Ahead

With the FIFA World Cup 2026 coming to Kansas City, La Casa del Padel is excited to welcome travelling fans onto its courts. It’s a unique opportunity to connect with padel players from around the world who share the same passion for the sport.

Looking ahead to 2026, the focus remains on growing awareness and accessibility in a market where padel is still in its early stages. Through pop-up events, partnerships, and community-driven experiences, La Casa del Padel is helping shape the future of padel in Kansas City.
