About Harbour & Court
Founded by Sarah Walker, Harbour & Court is a woman-forward, woman-led padel collective built around movement, modern sport culture, and genuine connection. While the community proudly centres women, its events are designed for both women and men, creating inclusive, social environments that feel welcoming, competitive, and intentional.
Sarah’s journey into padel began almost by chance. With a background across multiple sports and a competitive foundation shaped by playing squash at the University of Virginia, she discovered padel at a health and wellness event in Los Angeles. From the very first hit, it was clear this sport was something different, not just for the game itself, but for its social energy and community.
Community Origins
After moving back to the East Coast for a role in New York City, Sarah quickly noticed that padel in New England was still in its early stages. Rather than seeing that as a limitation, she saw opportunity. Harbour & Court emerged as a way to help grow the sport locally – working with clubs, organising play, and introducing new players to padel through thoughtfully curated experiences.
At its core, Harbour & Court blends competitive play with elevated hospitality. Inspired by coastal energy, each event is designed to feel intentional, where quality, atmosphere, and connection matter just as much as the level of play.
Getting Involved
The best way to experience Harbour & Court is in person. The community hosts round robins, tournaments, pop-ups, and social events that prioritise face-to-face connection and relationship-building through sport. You can also follow along on Instagram (@HarbourAndCourt) to stay up to date with upcoming events and community moments.
Community Reflections
One standout memory for Sarah was hosting the Coastal Classic in Los Angeles: an East Coast vs. West Coast competitive Americano that brought together 18 women for several hours of high-level play. A “caviar” sponsor added a distinctive, on-brand touch that perfectly captured the coastal, social identity Harbour & Court is building.
Like many emerging padel initiatives, one of the biggest challenges has been growing something new in regions where the sport is still developing, while maintaining quality and staying true to core values. At the same time, that challenge has become one of the most rewarding parts of the journey, particularly through partnerships that bridge sport, lifestyle, and culture.
Looking Ahead
Next up, Harbour & Court has an exciting round robin on the calendar, followed by a major milestone: an upcoming USPA-sanctioned tournament hosted at Serve & Smash in Branford, Connecticut. It will be the first USPA event at the club, marking a significant step forward for both the venue and the wider local padel community. Those interested in the event are advised to find out more details here: USPA 100 HARBOUR & COURT X SERVE & SMASH | USPA.
Alongside this, Harbour & Court will debut its apparel line, expanding further into the lifestyle side of the brand and reinforcing its vision of padel as more than just a sport, but a cultural movement on and off the court.
